San Shou

Sanshou (sometimes called sanda or Lei Tai) is a modern fighting method and sport influenced by both traditional Chinese boxing, Chinese wrestling methods called Shuai Jiao and other Chinese grappling techniques such as Qin Na. It has all the combat aspects of wushu. Sanda appears much like kickboxing or Muay Thai, but includes many more grappling techniques. Sanda fighting competitions are often held alongside taolu or form competitions.

Law enforcement, military and martial arts champions practice San Shou since it pools the most effective attack techniques in all schools of martial arts. Punching, kicking and throwing are the three building blocks.

*San Shou is taught on Fridays and Saturdays and open to all levels.

Chin Na

Chin Na or Qin na is a term describing techniques used in Chinese Martial Arts that control or lock an opponents joints or muscles/tendons so he cannot move, thus neutralizing their fighting ability.
